Testimony of Marieta Diaz from the Life Application Bible Seminar

March 30th and 31st of 2001 in Santiago, Dominican Republic

Note: Marieta is the director of El Colegio Evangelico Elohim de Santiago, one of the LACC schools, which we sponsor. The school is in an extremely poor section of Santiago with a high crime rate. Marieta is a member of the Central Assemblies of God church in Santiago. Her church mothered the smaller Assembly of God church in Pueblo Nuevo, which serves as the host church to the LACC School. Marieta watch in frustration as the smaller church struggled with a lack of vitality. After sending several of the newly saved parents of the LACC to the church and seeing their struggle, Marieta approached the mother church and asked to pastor the smaller church. Since she has taken over, the ministry is thriving. The seminar was held in the Central church.

Marieta's unsolicited testimony given to Maryanne Schaffner, a team member in Santiago:

After many hours of studying how to use the Life Application Bible, I came to the conclusion that it is worth the effort to do so. What really stands out for me is the great help the Bible will be in preparing sermons, Sunday School lessons, home study groups, discipleship groups and working with new believers.

I had already seen this Bible in the CD-Rom version that a brother in Christ had given to me as a gift but I hadn't discovered all of its valuable tools. I had something in my hands that was not working for me until today when the Life Application Team explained how the tools worked. I now realize that I have an immense library. I don't have to go out of my way in to do an intense search nor do I have to have an incomplete message because of inadequate commentaries, concordances, maps, graphics, dictionary, chronological studies, etc. This Bible has them all! It is an enormous library in one small package!

What is more, the Blueprints and Megathemes will help us in those moments where will don't have enough time of prepare our lessons. Team members (sisters, all of you), you came to our country selflessly to offer us this valuable help. We don't have anything that could pay you back for your investment. We will, however, commit ourselves to praying for you that God would bless you and those blessings would be multiplied until they are overflowing in your lives.
