LIFE APPLICATION BIBLE SEMINAR

NICARAGUA REPORT MAY 2006

We are thanking the Lord that we could be a part of His wonderful plan to bring the Gospel to the city of Leone in Nicaragua. May the blessings of the Nicaragua outreach be multiplied to all of you who prayed, donated, helped and sent us out.

We were able to conduct a seminar over 4 evenings with 120 of the most dedicated and humble church leaders we have ever experienced. Their hunger for the Word was inspiring. There was 100% attendance each night of the seminar. So great was the desire to learn God's Word that one pastor who lost a finger during an accident at work, still came that evening to the seminar. We saw tears of joy as many explained that the Life Application Bible and the seminar were answers to months of prayer for a way to study God's Word at a deeper level.

We were able to take some extra Life Application Bibles to share with church leaders in other cities as seed for future seminars. Their interest and response was tremendous. Within a few days of arriving home we received an email notifying us that more than 300 pastors, leaders and teachers have already placed their names on a sign-up list in anticipation of our return.

Please continue to pray for Nicaragua. The average monthly salary for those who have a job is equal to only $50.00 US. That means it would cost them more than a month's salary to purchase a Life Application Bible. Our goal is to supply them with the Bible and our seminar at no cost. The City of Leone in Nicaragua..120 pastors, teachers and bible study leaders attended the seminar. After the four evenings they expressed great excitement about using what they term "the Bible College in a Book" to spread the Gospel. It was close to a month after the seminar was completed that we received a call from one of the local pastors. He said, "revival has broken out in our city". We asked him to explain what he meant. He said, "they are experiencing it at two levels...1st many of the leaders went out into the city and evangelized people using the material in their Life Application Bibles, then as the people made a commitment to Jesus, they were brought into local churches where others used their Life Application Bibles to disciple the new converts in the Lord".
